When You Should See an Optometrist or Go to the Emergency Room Right Away

You’ll likely recognize an eye emergency when it happens. If something unusual begins to happen to your eyes or vision you should seek medical care right away. If our office is closed, you should visit an emergency room as soon as possible.


Any eye injury, even if it appears to be minor, should also be treated right away. Although some eye injuries, like superficial cornea scratches, might only result in temporary discomfort, it’s still better to be safe and seek medical attention.
